The Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) was established in 2003 with the aim of addressing the economic and labor market needs of the province through immigration. Since its inception, the program has played a significant role in the remarkable growth of immigration to Nova Scotia. Over the past two decades, immigration to the province has tripled, largely attributed to the development of the NSNP and the introduction of the Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIP) in 2017.
